Remove MicroLauncher (Mac OS X) virus

If you are getting notifications from MicroLauncher, then your Mac is infected with adware. MicroLauncher is adware for Mac.

MicroLauncher changes setting in your Mac. First, MicroLauncher installs a browser extension in your browser. Then, after MicroLauncher hijacks your browser, it modifies settings in the browser. For example, it changes the default home page, modifies search results, and displays unwanted pop-ups in your browser.

Because MicroLauncher is adware, there will be many unwanted pop-ups displayed in the browser. In addition, the MicroLauncher adware will redirect the browser to rogue websites and websites that try to trick you into installing even more malware on your Mac. You must never click on ads that you do not know how they were created or that you do not recognize.

Also, do not install updates, extensions, or other software suggested by pop-ups. Installing software offered by unknown pop-ups may cause your Mac to be infected with malware.
