The organization does not plan to cancel the fair for the time being, because it believes that the fair can take place safely with the safety measures taken and because it does not expect as many visitors as in previous years. Gary Shapiro, CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, said in the press release that the organization “is steadfast in its promise to be a meeting place to showcase products and discuss ideas that ultimately make our lives better.”

For those who cannot travel to Las Vegas, the event will also take place digitally, just like last year. More than forty sessions, keynotes and press conferences are planned. Nvidia and AMD, among others, are organizing a virtual keynote presentation.
