Geek Squad is a fake e-mail, sent out to deceive you into thinking you bought or used this service from BestBuy. In the content of the e-mail your the scammers claim you need to cancel the renewing services. Do not renew, everything the whole e-mail is fake. Make sure to not call the listed phone number. If you call, you speak to online scammers – criminals.
What they do, these scammers sent out fake e-mails with a false message and trick you, making it look legit and real to the victim. You can find out if your e-mail is compromised during a hack at haveibeenpwned.com.
After the victim has received the fake e-mail the e-mail contains a phone number to cancel the Geek Squad services.
Some information in the mail varies in different examples of the mail and if the attack is successful it may evolve more over time.
