Microsoft releases Windows 10 version 22H2. The update is available for download by all Windows 10 users from version 20H2. It’s the only ‘feature update’ this year, but there don’t seem to be any significant new features introduced with the update.
The Windows 10 22H2 update includes “a series of productivity and management improvements,” according to Microsoft. Windows 10 version 22H2 is now available for all users to install via Windows Update.
In contrast to version 22H2 for Windows 11, this is a reasonably little update without significant new functions. BleepingComputer has only discovered a new setting that allows important notifications to be shown when Concentration Assist is enabled. Usually, the concentration mode blocks almost all notifications.
Since the end of 2021, Microsoft has moved to one annual content update for Windows 10, now that the focus is mainly on Windows 11. The contrast is evident when one compares the contents of 22H2 for Windows 10 with 22H2 for Windows 11, a significant feature update with several new features. This update was rolled out roughly a month ago.
