If you are getting notifications from GeneralOperation, then your Mac is infected with adware. GeneralOperation is adware for Mac.
GeneralOperation changes setting in your Mac. First, GeneralOperation installs a browser extension in your browser. Then, after GeneralOperation hijacks your browser, it modifies settings in the browser. For example, it changes the default home page, modifies search results, and displays unwanted pop-ups in your browser.
Because GeneralOperation is adware, there will be many unwanted pop-ups displayed in the browser. In addition, the GeneralOperation adware will redirect the browser to rogue websites and websites that try to trick you into installing even more malware on your Mac. You must never click on ads that you do not know how they were created or that you do not recognize.
Also, do not install updates, extensions, or other software suggested by pop-ups. Installing software offered by unknown pop-ups may cause your Mac to be infected with malware.
