ASUS will announce a Windows tablet for gamers on January 4, according to a teaser from the Taiwanese company. It is a device that appears under the ROG Flow name and that has been rumored before.

ASUS speaks in its advance announcement of ‘the most powerful gaming tablet’. The company will be unveiling this Tuesday, January 4 at the CES electronics trade show taking place next week in Las Vegas. On the teaser image the sides of the tablet can be seen and the name ROG Flow is also visible there. Also on display is the ASUS ROG XG connector, which allows the device to be connected to external video cards for more graphics processing power.

The teaser follows the release of an image of a claimed ROG Flow Z13, by Evan Blass of EvLeaks in late October. That image shows a tablet with a thin detachable keyboard, similar to Microsoft’s Surface Pro. It is unknown what hardware the ROG Flow Z13 will contain.

On the left the teaser from ASUS, on the right the image previously published by EVLeaks.
