Several LG All-in-One thin clients now come standard with the IGEL OS for cloud-based work environments. With the collaboration, the parties want to make it easier for companies to let employees work from home in a safe way.
LG and IGEL want to offer a secure digital workplace, regardless of which endpoint is used. Through the IGEL Ready program, IGEL OS will be available as standard on a select number of LG All-In-One thin clients from spring 2022. These are the LG 24CN650/CL600 LG All-in-One Thin Clients and Desktop PCs.
With IGEL OS, end users get support for reliable multi-protocol connections to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments and cloud-based work environments from a number of vendors. Think of Citrix, VMware and Microsoft. Companies can thus flexibly determine how they want to deliver their digital work environments.
The partnership also includes the addition of the IGEL Universal Management Suite software. This provides end-users of LG’s endpoint cloud displays, among other things, with robust, standardized and highly secure endpoint security and optimization capabilities. Also, this software should bring down the cost of any device based on IGEL OS.
The integration of IGEL OS on almost all thin clients from LG is part of the IGEL partner program. This partner program includes hundreds of companies and strategic partners such as AWS, Microsoft, VMware and Citrix.
