WhatsApp rolled out an update for the beta version of its iOS app on Saturday. Some users of this beta will now be able to see status updates for contacts in their chat list. Also, testers can undelete messages.
The feature is available to some testers in beta version 22.18.0.70, writes WABetaInfo. When a contact of the user shares a status update, it is immediately visible in the chat list when opening WhatsApp. First, users had to go to the Status tab to see the latest status updates. It is not yet known when the function can be tested by a larger group of users.
Furthermore, there is now also the option to undo the deletion of certain messages, WABetaInfo reported on Sunday. A pop-up will appear after deleting a message. This gives the option to keep the message and disappears after a few seconds. The feature was already available in the Android beta version of WhatsApp.
