Microsoft is changing the way it collects telemetry from European enterprise customers. Currently, the processor is determined via policies per device, but in the future this will be done via a single policy in Active Directory.

Amazon is shutting down its Drive cloud storage service. The company started this in 2011, but from the end of next year the service can no longer be used. Storage of photos and videos is automatically migrated to Amazon Photos.

A Russian court has fined WhatsApp and other tech companies. The companies would refuse to store the collected data of Russian citizens in Russia. WhatsApp received the highest fine, which amounts to about 18 million rubles.

Meta has recorded lower quarterly turnover for the first time compared to a year earlier. The company recorded a turnover of 28.2 billion euros last quarter, one percent less than the same period in 2021. Meta expects another decrease next quarter.

Google is making a new Gmail interface available to all users. At the beginning of February, business users were already being transferred and in June the interface became available for the first private individuals. T-Mobile has reached a settlement in America with victims of a major data breach in 2021. The company is allocating $350 million for damages claims and another $150 million for securing its networks.

Some new updates to Windows 11 caused problems with the start menu for some users. Clicking the start button or using the Windows key had no effect on these users, so the start menu could not be opened.
